MY FAMILY WAS OVERWHELMING, THEY WOULD ALWAYS GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO PROTECT ME FROM THE SMALLEST THINGS.

I'm just so tired of this life.

I really want a friend. Not a ring.

But today was different, I could feel it.

"Maybe today I can go on a walk alone with Meer!" I whisper shouted happily.

My hands were clenched tightly, excited for today. I had a good dream, where I met a friend and we did all the things I wasn't ever allowed to do.

I was 12, not a toddler.

But yet, I had to wear my green clothing proudly to represent my family's wishes. The clothing that was picked by my family, not by me.

The one thing I had was my dog, and I was always happy just to take him around the garden.

"Imagine how cool it would be to take him around town, alone! Maybe even with a friend!" I talked to myself, laying on my bed.

"Hm, but where is Meer?" I questioned, sitting up.

Normally I hear the white fluffy dog bark when I wake up, asking for food, but today he didn't.

I shot up from my bed, my green nightgown whooshing from the speed.

Looking around the room and being unable to find Meer brought a ray of fear into my heart. I had to continue the search around the house.

I grab my green dress and green ring from my closet deciding to scavenge around the whole house.

Sooner or later, I widened my eyes when reality set in. "My dog is gone..."

"Miss Y/n-"

"Tell my parents I'll be back soon!" I sent my maid a wave as I ran out of the door with a frown plastered on my face.

The only thing on my mind is Meer, not the consequences of leaving the mansion without permission.

My maid chased after me, panting, I just sighed quietly. Maybe she can be of help for the search.

"Miss Y/n! This is highly unethical!"

I ignore everything around me as I get to town, looking around to see food stands and no sign of my dog.

I almost smile when I see the food Meer and I love to eat together but then remember my dire situation involving Meer himself.

"No, bad Y/n! Stay on task." I mutter.

Third person POV

Gugu on the other hand, holds the white haired dog up as he blushes towards Y/n.

He knew of her, but he never expected her to be so pretty. It's safe to say he liked her, he would call it love at first sight.

Gugu held the dog while trying to catch Y/n's attention, quite lowly.

"Uhm... uh- ye- um-"

Y/n heard what sounded like a whisper and turned her head around to meet Gugu, who in return, blushed cherry red.

He was the one wanting her attention, yet he can't help but stutter and turn red when trying to communicate with her.

Y/n smiled towards the even redder boy, and raised a brow after looking down at his hands.

Her eyes widened, "Meer! I missed you!"

She ran up to the dog and hugged him tightly, now afraid that he would go missing and cause grief again.

Gugu stood there idly with a small smile plastered on his face, the pretty girl looked even prettier with a smile on her face.

Y/n stopped paying her full attention to the dog and turned it to the boy in front of her, as he froze up.

The (h/c) haired girl smiled brightly at the blonde haired boy before their interaction got cut off by her maid panting from down the hill.

"Ah... I guess she finally caught up to me..." Y/n muttered sadly. She wanted to spend more time with the boy in front of her, and maybe make her first friend.

Gugu didn't process anything, too happy to have a very pretty girl talking to someone like him.

Y/n kept a small frown on her face before turning back towards Gugu, taking the green ring off her finger. "I need to thank you."

The maid grabbed Y/n's shoulder, "That was a gift from your father, miss."

"Please, just let me do this." The girl smiled, grabbing the boys hand while carefully placing the ring on it, "The colour matches him way better anyways!"

Gugu felt like he was on cloud nine, as he couldn't stop smiling and blushing at the girl.

"Sell this and you won't have to sell veggies ever again," Y/n cheerfully claimed.

Gugu clenched his fist, steaming up, 'She knew me!'

"Um... what's your name?" He finally got the courage to speak to her, but she was quickly dragged away. She couldn't hear what he had said.

"Miss Y/n, that was a rude thing to say to the lad." The maid scolded.

"I was trying to repay him though!"

Gugu overhead the conversation and let out a dreamy sigh, he really liked her name.

'Y/n...'  He thought with a red face.

'Ah! I shouldn't say her name so casually! Even if it's in my head.'

Y/n was happy to meet the boy, as Gugu was happy to meet the girl. He thought that nothing could go wrong, as Y/n Cropp saw value and was nice to a guy like himself.

"I hope I can see him again!" Y/n whisper shouted to herself with a content smile.

Gugu felt exactly the same.
